Lagos State Government has expressed displeasure with the promoters of the “Gangs of Lagos” film/series over what it described as "cultural misrepresentation" as well as portraying the culture. Best friends Obalola, Ify and Gift were born and raised in Isale Eko, where politically affiliated gangs rule the streets. He is a street kingpin in Isale Eko who must protect his throne and follow in the footsteps of his deceased father- a former kingpin.
